About us

DECAMED Agri-Industrial and Management Service Cooperative (DAMA Coop) has been organized by at least sixteen (16) multisectoral, coconut-based business, professional, consultant, academicians, researchers, communicators, scientists and coconut producers (farmers) with the whole range of coconut industry value chain.

Its core functions are focused on developing the synergy of agriculture, agri-business and agri-based industrialization that involves directly the socio-economic welfare of the coconut producers and workers and its wholistic industry growth and development.

The tripod A strategy will be further complemented by a wholistic investment scheme that will effectively link appropriate technologies with full access to market and credit & financial systems. At all times, the DAMA Service Coop business model will further integrate community & rural development flows; namely: Information Flows, Financial Flows and ultimately Product Flows all of which will re-down to progressive wealth creation and liberation of the coconut -based producers from the bondage of poverty.

To emphasize its agro-industrial business orientation, the cooperative have chosen the domain name www.damacoop.com

Being a service cooperative, its main functions is to help implement the envisage coconut farmers and industry development plan and its corresponding coconut industry road map that will be mainly funded by the Coconut Industry Investment Fund formerly known as Coco Levy Funds and its augmentation in the annual National Expenditure Program (NEP) and its conversion to the annual General Appropriations Acts (GAA).

Its major STRATEGY is the Areaism (Area Development) development paradigm that the DA so adopted in its Farmers and Fisher folks Clustering and Consolidated Program (F2C2). This area development approach is also consistent with the major provisions of the AFMA (Agriculture, & Fisheries Modernization Act) that delineates 3 major development zones under the SAFDZ (Sustainable Agriculture & Fisheries Development Zones) and its key production areas.

Moreover, the business model is further enrich in focusing coconut0-based farming systems development and its full agribusiness & agri-industrial development components.

To operationalize the business model, DAMA Service Cooperative will adopt completely or with modifications the DA's Agro-Industrial Hubs modality. In our case the agro-industrial hubs will be further supported by community-based & empowered development processing & manufacturing initiatives. Thus, we will effectively called as an INTEGRATED AGRI-INDUSTRIAL HUBS and SPOKES that will empower communities through functional and viable cooperatives, village corporations (corporatives) and public-private-partnerships.
